"SHOOTING BLANKS": Kenny Schachter
curates another funky group show in another
galleryless space. With Rachel Harrison's
plastic bags, Dora Avramovic's broom-and-
duster structure, John Illig's wall dotted with
briquettes, Beth Haggart's threads showering
a carpet levitated by slices of bread, and an
absence of isms, it's a gripeless show. Down-
stairs, among other unpretentious stuff: Ilona
Malka's festooned coffee bar, and Ken
Landauer's great big white table and chairs.
